Parallel Realities

Who are we and how do we become what we are?

We create the world in which we live. In this sense, everyone lives in their own world, with more or less intersections with the worlds of others.

It is an illusion to think that there is such a thing as an "objective" reality. Our environment is so overloaded with sensory impressions that we cannot help but reduce our perception. We reduce it to what is important to us, to what we know and to what we want.

Almost everything is possible in the design of our world; we set our own limits. “Everything you can imagine is real” Picasso already stated.

The series "Parallel Realities" plays with the concepts of reality - perception - identity. Confrontations with one's own alter ego and dreamy digressions into other worlds are depicted. As always, the artist uses animals vicariously to sketch the individual and society.
