ANJA SPAGL
is a german artist with a humanities background. She comes from Nuremberg, studied sociology in Bayreuth and Bordeaux, and at the same time learned to paint in Bordeaux (2016-2019) in the studios of local artists.
Since 2019, the focus of her work has been in Nuremberg again, where she has had an exhibition space in Nuremberg-Johannis ever since.
She also continues to exhibit regularly in France and Italy.
Her paintings are an invitation to a surreal world that is characterized by a poetic, romantic and sometimes melancholic note.
It's about raising questions in the viewer without necessarily wanting to force a concept on him - subtle criticism that is hidden under the filigree aesthetics of the brushstrokes.
Art is a specific way for artists to see and understand the world - and at the same time a way to escape from the moment. Art is the answer to essential human aesthetic and intellectual needs and: it is even able to reconcile both.
